Born within Atlântico Business School, the Centro de Incubação Atlântico – Atlântico Incubation Center (CIA) is more than an incubator: it is a vibrant ecosystem of innovation, business, and knowledge, created to bring entrepreneurial ideas to life and empower startups with the ambition to grow.
Atlântico Business School (www.abs.pt) is a higher education institution with over three decades of experience in management, economics, and executive education. It is recognized for its strong connection with the business sector and its continuous commitment to pedagogical and applied innovation. Since its foundation in 1990, it has promoted pioneering programs such as JEEP – Jovens Empresários de Elevado Potencial (Young High-Potential Entrepreneurs), and developed specialized units such as NPME – Núcleo de Apoio à Gestão de Pequenas e Médias Empresas (SME Management Support Unit), focused on supporting SMEs. This strong academic and business background provides a unique foundation for a dynamic, multidisciplinary, and results-oriented incubation ecosystem, where knowledge, talent, and market intersect to generate real impact.
Established in 2020 and certified by the RNi – Portugal Incubators! (National Network of Incubators), the Atlântico Incubation Center reflects the DNA of Atlântico Business School: strong ties to the business community, a focus on value creation, and a commitment to training and supporting entrepreneurs. Through a hands-on and personalized approach, we provide physical and virtual workspaces, specialized mentoring, consultancy, business creation support, and access to funding networks – all to ensure each project has the right framework to thrive.
We are strategically located in Vila Nova de Gaia (Heliântia Building) and Porto (Brasília Shopping Center and facilities at Belos Ares Street), offering easy access, a professional environment, and everything needed to transform ideas into sustainable business ventures.
But we go further: we are Portugal Ventures Ignition Partner, promote access to the Startup Visa Program for foreign entrepreneurs, and connect our startups to funding and training opportunities, such as the Empreende XXI Program.
